Women - Owned
Khemia is a women-owned social equity manufacturing company founded in Sacramento, California with products also available in Washington state. Khemia’s female founder team is made of cannabis business experts, natural health educators, activists and patient advocates, who have over 35 years of industry experience. These ladies love sharing their knowledge and passion for plant medicine. Khemia appeals to the feminine side of all consumers.
Years of Experience
Since the turn of the new millennium, Khemia’s founders have advocated for common sense cannabis regulations, and have been a driving force of change in the California cannabis industry, and nationally. When Prop 64 passed in 2018, many cannabis operators were going to have to shut down their businesses because navigating the barriers to operating in compliance with the new regulations was too challenging. One night in a brainstorming session, Khemia’s founders came up with a solution to this problem and in 2019, Mindy, Manndie and Kimberly, opened their manufacturing mother company. They joined their cannabis business operations skill sets with legacy cannabis businesses operators by providing them an equity share in Khemia in exchange for their formulations and product creation expertise. These formulations and recipes now thrive under the Khemia brand name, creating a brand that ensures legacy cannabis culture and origin of the cannabis movement will never be lost, forgotten, or pushed out of the industry they helped create.

MANUFACTURING
Angela Kadara
Angela Kadara founder of Medizen Inc. has been a foodie since a very young age, working at various hotels and restaurants through high school then went on to get her bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management at Tuskegee University.
Angela’s long list of experience in the food industry includes restaurants, catering, banquets, kitchen/ service and general managerial positions. She comes to our team with 20+ years of culinary experience, 15+ years of managerial experience and almost 10 years in cannabis.
After noticing a void for quality controlled products in an unregulated market, Angela decided to pursue a career in the cannabis industry with very little knowledge of cannabis. Angela soley went off her culinary and managerial background to formulate a better lifestyle for the masses and as a philanthropist created her own cannabis manufacturing company, Medizen Inc.
Medizen Inc. was founded in 2012 with the mission to provide a diverse variety of clean, vegan, CA compliant, lab tested, co2 extracted cannabis edibles with no BHo or pesticide residue. Her high standards from her culinary background allowed her to create a quick demand for her products and used that as her main selling point. As a small business she did very little advertising but by word of mouth collectives sought out her products for the quality control, consistency, and good manufacturing practices. Within the first year Medizen Inc. did $800k in sales.
